How-To-SAFETY joins 2015 Kidz in Motion, a national child passenger safety conference held in Orlando, FL.
The conference aims to provide informative sessions that reflect the diversity of the field, with the intent of increasing knowledge and sharing best practices. Hundreds of CPS technicians, instructors and advocates will be discussing the most current and accurate occupant protection resources, programs, and delivery systems.
Educational sessions include topics and updates regarding advanced vehicle safety systems, crash dynamics, LATCH changes, side impact updates, EMS pediatric transport, strategies for hospital based CPS programs, development and implementation of safety programs, industry trends and resources, pediatrician and parent CPS knowledge, practices following AAP policy, transporting children with special healthcare needs, and manufacturer’s updates, strategies to raise awareness through social media, and techniques for safety educators.
Kidz in Motion (a 501C3 non-profit corporation) was formed to coordinate a national conference dedicated to Child Passenger Safety professionals. This program, called “Kidz In Motion” is in memory of Police Officer Kimberly Hassell-Bazoge, who passed away suddenly in June of 1999. More info at www.kidzinmotion.org
