We have used soft fabric, round forms and a supportive design to create the feeling of a snug nest for your baby from age newborn.

Runs on fun alone – no batteries required!

Your child’s own movements will bounce the chair. Your child can have fun bouncing, while developing motor skills and balance in a completely natural way. Our bouncer has a natural rocking movement that calms and sooths. In the early months, you can rock your baby to sleep in the bouncer by hand or foot. And who knows – this may be what makes your baby give their very first smile. Natural bouncing also allows your baby to fall into a deeper sleep – and stay asleep longer – versus a battery-operated bouncer.

Both a bouncer and a chair

The BABYBJÖRN Bouncer Balance Soft can be used as both a bouncer and a chair up until the age of two. You can use it as a bouncer with the safety harness from birth until your child has learned to sit upright. Once your child has learned to walk and sit down unaided, you can turn the fabric around and use it as a comfortable chair.

Easy to clean

The fabric seat is easily removed when you need to clean up after your baby and wash it in the machine.

The large wooden figure with the googly eyes will catch your child’s attention and encourage development through play. The BABYBJÖRN Wooden Toy for Bouncer works with all BABYBJÖRN Bouncers and is attached in a way that makes it hard for the child to remove. All parts in this product comply with all the relevant safety standards and are safe for your baby to chew and suck on. The BABYBJÖRN Wooden Toy for Bouncer can be can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth. All accessories sold separately.

Product care

Machine wash, warm (40°C). Wash separately with a gentle, bleach-free detergent. Do not tumble dry. To remove the fabric seat, simply loosen the two elastic bands at the bottom and pull the fabric off the frame.

Bouncer and chair in one

BABYBJÖRN Bouncer Balance Soft can be used as both a bouncer and a comfy chair. From the time your baby is newborn (at least 8 lbs/3.5kg) and until she or he has learned to sit up unaided, it can be used as a bouncer. When your child has learned to walk and sit independently, you can reverse the fabric to create a comfortable child’s chair (up to 29 lbs/13kg or approximately 2 years of age).

 

Positions

BABYBJÖRN Bouncer Balance Soft has four positions. The lowest position, C, is recommended for newborns sitting in the bouncer. Positions A and B can be used when the child can hold his or her back and head upright in these positions without a problem. It is not dangerous to exceed the recommended maximum weight for a position, but the rocking function will not work as well.

When the product is used as a bouncer, the maximum weight is 20 lbs/9 kg according to European Standard EN12790:2009. We therefore recommend the following maximum weights per position:

Highest position “Play” up to 20 lbs/9 kg.
B. Medium position “Rest” up to 20 lbs/9 kg.
C. Lowest position “Sleep” up to 15.5 lbs/7 kg.
D. Transportation mode – when the product is not being used.

When the product is being used as a chair, we recommend the following maximum weights per position:
